Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for fee payments made to Tapovan Youth Alumni Group Trust (Tapovan Vidya Vihar / Tapovan Pre School) through the online payment facility at https://www.tapovanvidyavihar.org/.

1. Nature of Fee Payments School fees (including tuition fees, term fees, activity fees, and similar charges) are collected for educational services. As a general rule, fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the specific circumstances described below or as required by applicable law or regulatory/board norms.

2. Failed or Duplicate Transactions

  • Amount debited, payment not confirmed: If your account is debited but the School does not receive confirmation of a successful payment, the amount is normally auto-reversed by your bank/payment gateway within 7–10 working days. No action is usually required from you.
  • Duplicate payment: If you are charged more than once for the same fee due to a technical error, the School will verify and refund the excess amount after reconciliation.

3. Refunds in Other Cases Refund requests relating to admission withdrawal, cancellation of admission, mid-term withdrawal, or similar circumstances will be considered strictly in accordance with the School’s prevailing fee and admission rules and applicable CBSE/regulatory guidelines in force at the relevant time. Refund eligibility, deductions (such as administrative or registration charges), and timelines are governed by those rules. Caution money or security deposits (if any) are refunded as per the School’s deposit rules.

4. How to Request a Refund Submit a written request to the School’s accounts/administration office (in person or via info@tapovanvidyavihar.org), including the student’s name, class, enrolment/admission number, transaction reference, amount, payment date, and reason for the request. The School may require supporting documents.

5. Processing of Approved Refunds

  • Approved refunds are processed back to the original mode/source of payment used for the transaction. Refunds are not issued in cash for online payments.
  • Eligible refunds are generally processed within 7–14 working days of approval, subject to verification and bank/gateway processing times.
  • Any gateway/convenience charges may be non-refundable.

6. Cancellation by the School The School reserves the right to cancel or reverse any transaction that is found to be erroneous, unauthorised, fraudulent, or made against incorrect student details, and to refund such amounts to the original source.
